Should there be a maximum age for the US President? | The Pledge

Greg Dyke says there should be a maximum age for candidates running to be the next US President.

Dr Alex George says age “shouldn’t play a role” in the election and the current minimum age limit is also wrong.

  1. No maximum age. this is far more exiting. With a male life expectancy of 76 we can bet on it that Trump, Bloomberg, Biden or Sanders will die before the last vote has been casted.

  2. So the Democrats had no
non white people to vote for. Does that mean they are racist after 2 terms of Obama?
One of the front runners is a 78 year old jew, and a 70 year old native American!!

  3. Short answer: No… if we don’t want anyone over 70 to be President we won’t vote him in, and if we do we’ll vote him in… in 2008 John McCain’s age was a campaign issue so no need to change the constitution, it’s always a campaign issue

  4. People keep saying Obama had no experience. Just a ridiculous statement with no real basis in fact. Obama was a senator in the Illinois State Senator for about 8 years and a part time constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago law school. After that he became a US Senator for 4 years. He was also the editor of the Harvard Law Review which is a very political office (rightly or wrongly). He had political experience. Arguably maybe 8 years in the Senate rather than 4 would have been ideal, but to suggest he was inexperienced is something people with agendas say.
