Lawyer and activist Jibran Nasir took to Twitter to commend the "thorough system" for coronavirus screening at the Karachi airport.
"I reached Pakistan today after a week in US. Went through three airports, multiple train and subway stations, despite the big Corona scare on US media there was no screening by US authorities anywhere. Landed back in Karachi to find a thorough system in place. Kudos," he said.
Nasir said he had met with doctors working under the Sindh Health Department working at the airport, adding: "They are our heroes. This is selfless service to the nation. Salute to all govt doctors."
"Out of concern for family, friends & everyone around I've limited my interactions and movements as most of #Corona cases are asymptomatic. I don't have any symptoms but will go through testing just to be sure & encourage all those coming to Pak to do same. Be safe be responsible," he said, in a subsequent tweet.
