  1. Masonic ritual sacrifice all the symbols are there. The horned god. The eye of illumination. The worship of the goddess. The light bringer with the flame. The dead children. The celebration of death. It's the Freemasons, the largest private members club in London. Is there a prize for this. Do I win a prize?

  2. The Spanish Civil War was caused by Soviet agents financing and leading rabble (communists and anarchists) trying to turn Spain into a satellite state of the Soviet Union. Good thing the communists lost.

  3. I suppose if you are somewhat knowledgeable of Picasso's actual artistic skill it is easy to understand why he chose this style of painting to depict the event. Had he made it realistic I don't think it would have reached the level of fame it has reached. It would have been too vulgar and painful. Those not familiar with Picasso's artistic ability may dismiss his style as a childish picture without realizing that when Picasso was little more than a child he could paint as well as any Rennaissance master—in fact he did paint like that during his early teenage years.

  4. I feel one part above that is eye of Providence.. And woman is trying to show lamp to it, so that all watching eye must watch the pain on the humanity and on the nature, represented by animals..And the mindset having flower with sword represents a pain of soul who is ready to sacrifice for all , means for both of nature (female characters ) and Man ( bull & horse two powerful representation of male )..
Over all we can say one thing is sure..painting represents terrible pain & courage to overcome..

  5. One notes that
A certain award-winning painting called Spoliarium (once hanged in the Museo Prado which may have been seen by Picasso) may have indeed inspired the form of Guernica

  6. Psychologists speak metaphorically of a soul defragmentation, shamans speak of a soul defragmentation literally meaning that when facing a severe trauma the soul shatters into peaces, parts of it get lost (remain stuck in the time or space), parts of it come together but cannot really integrate. Picasso's genious mind illustrates the sheer horror of a war and its impact on human soul by painting all these dysplastic bodies. I think this picture is very dark, a portal to hell because you can literally connect to all this horror in a kind of a mystical way. But this picture is also a masterpiece, a masterpiece I wouldn't like to look at more than 10 minutes…
