  1. If the Maori had actually spent their time fighting instead of dancing they might not have been taken over by the white man.

PS love the haka. But it only belongs in situations where you then fight to the death

  2. Well well, what a stunning performance by England…admirable indeed. Sorry NZ, but you were truly out classed and out played today. May the best team win tomorrow between the Welsh and the Bokke. The passion is running so high here, I am living on biltong, drywors and beer this weekend. pity its raining, otherwise I would have squeezed a braai in as well.

  3. Disrespectful from the irish! You may not like it, but the Haka is a tradition and people want to see and hear it! Nobody wants to hear the tune that is the anthem of the perpetual looooooosers, sung by pissed up paddys!

  4. I'm from Aus, I love watching the Haka, something about it makes me want to join in, not that I have any right to but there it is.
I enjoyed the Irish fans singing while the Haka was going on. Many cultures do this kind of thing before a contest and I see nothing disrespectful about it, much the same as another Polynesian doing their respective dance/song while the Haka goes on.
Bad luck losing to England btw NZ fans. Even the AB's lose from time to time.

  5. Find the haka cringy, annoying and just plain ugly really. Also bollocks to getting special treatment for it, if i was opposite that i would just laugh

  6. We did avenge our Isles brothers' defeat. England are through and the only hope for the Isles.

And yes sorry for the suffering you Irish lads had when you were under us. I hope we can repay you.

  7. Haka is pure psychological intimidation. Noone should be allowed do it in this day and age…tongue- and throat-slitting gestures! Either both teams do it, or no one. You can see that it does have an effect. The Irish should close their eyes and visualise their game instead of honouring the NZ team by watching their stupid antics!

  8. On second thoughts, the Irish rugby team should always do a war-dance back to the All-Blacks, sure we were warrior Celts after all! And it releases fear from the body, gets adrenaline pumping and shows them that we are up for the fight.
