The Surprising Identity of QAnon's Top Aggregator

A Citigroup senior vice president was recently shown to be the man behind the biggest aggregator of posts tied to QAnon, a far-right hodgepodge of outlandish conspiracy theories. So a Bloomberg reporter rented a car and drove to his house in New Jersey to ask him a few questions.

  1. What's so insidious about reports like this is how subtly they marry real and dangerous conspiracies that need to be stopped, like Pizza Gate, with things like the Flynn case, where court documents plainly detail the deliberate plot to take him down, from Joe Biden recommending Logan Act charges, to individual FBI agents discussing whether they want to entrap him or not.

I tend to think people mean well, but perhaps media organizations like this are so tied up in their own narratives, infinitely self referencing peers who have little meaningful disagreement with them, they really don't have people outside their circles to check them when they go astray.

imo, that undoubtedly contributes to the decline in media trust.

  2. I don't believe in Q but it's misleading journalism to bring up the Podesta emails and not show the one where Podesta spoke about getting young children into a hot tub with him.

  3. So this “company” just doxes people and ruins their lives?
And these websites continue to get taken down and suppressed, and you wonder why people are driven further underground and double down on their views? Great job guys….

  4. In Germany, at the end of the Weimarer Republic such movements lead to the later SS & SA and other NAZI organisations. My father a "Wehrmachtsoffizier" returned from prison in Russia in 1956 long after the end of WW2. Thats why most of the Germans are, until now, very reluctant with respect to conspiracy slogans and military approaches – particularly not against the own citizens . Democrats are neither Communists nor Socialists – the "(Trump) Putin bots" are far more "national socialists (NAZIS)" , proven by their attachment to Putin during the last 4 years. Wake up USA – and Best to the American friends from Germany !

  5. So you found a guy who decided to monetise the gullibility of conspiracy theorists. Who can blame him? The actual Q is probably a 4Chan joke to laugh at how gullible people are in spreading memes like they did with the white power ok sign.

  6. Believe in whatever garbage you want to. There are always some people offering false hopes and conspiracies. Some might be true. Bound to hit the odd one here and there if you do it long enough and cast your net wide. This will reinforce the belief for those who follow.
