  1. Just came from Tanzania. Covid is not a problem there. Would be nice to get vaccinated before I go again in March. I have kids there. I'm a single dad and I need to see my two preschool-age kids. But I'm too healthy to get a vaccine this year so I will have to go soon again without a vaccine. But I don't think Covid is a big problem in Central/East Africa. There are several scientific reasons why that could be so.

  2. It's better to just lockdown for 2 weeks and close all borders. Do what Wuhan did and the virus will drop to the floor. Also wear mask as often as possible.

  3. We are still waiting for vaccine in USA. The high level in government is getting it first. After Joe gets in office they say we will get it faster???????????????Sounds like bad government!

  4. Yes thats the point vaccine fabrication can be faster if you produce it in developing countries, just give license. That cost money and poverty to other countries being lockdowns, besides that destroy local market that this pharmaceutical companies profit. If not then other countries might start thinking to produce their own vaccines.

  5. Africa's population is far younger than the West's. The West's rollout has been cruddy so far. Covid has been ravaging the African continent undetected and frankly, like India, there is likely a degree of herd immunity among the younger and potentially more concentrated populations. While I agree it is a challenging moral question, at the end of the day the countries that develop and produce the vaccine get to decide how it is distributed. And, foreign investment/tourism will likely increase when the upper crust of China and USA and Others get vaccinated and feel safer to mingle with unvaccinated people

  6. No surprises here. The WHO has no power and the rich have spread this virus while also getting first in line to get the vaccine. Even among richer countries their is a heirarchy that favors the rich citizens. Terrible but no surprises, we all knew this would happen.

  7. The healthcare workers in Kenya are desperate to get the coronavirus vaccines because the virus is spreading like wildfire there and it is difficult to get good medicare in the African nations.
