The Lincoln Project is imploding. Here’s why.

The Lincoln Project is imploding. Here’s why.

The Lincoln Project is a well-funded group of “never Trump” Republican consultants who banded together to fight against the Donald Trump’s reelection in 2020. Despite finding huge success early on, the group is now dealing with a series of allegations against one of its co-founders, followed by a set of high-profile resignations. In his latest episode of The Point, CNN’s Chris Cillizza explains what we can learn from the Lincoln Project’s implosion.

  1. The Far Left-Wing is corrupt as usual. Flooded with those who want to strip all of rights and freedoms like “you will own nothing and be happy “ crowd. Only destruction can come from imposing this counter Founders dream. Founders wanted not taxation without representation and rights to own property along with the means to do so by the other rights, free speech, press, bear arms, petition the government, etc., to protect those rights. Violations of these result in overthrow of that govt that does such things as stated in the Declaration of Independence

  2. I think the Lincoln Project could use Trump’s. Urgent ‘big lie’ rhetoric to make a lot of money by putting out counter ads. I know I would give the Lincoln Project money now for this purpose.

  3. The Republican Party ceased to be the party of Lincoln the second Trump was nominated. Their can never be a comparison between Lincoln and Trump. Trump is the antithesis of Lincoln. Sad that this group was unable to make Trump irrelevant.

  4. Here’s a point you missed.
    1) After the batshit roundhouse kick to Al Franken in the head by peers he usurped in volumes with integrity and political ease, democratic warm up benches left with an almost unusable cache of wannabes fleeing Dr Moreau’s island and running for the presidency and almost destroyed ourselves in the “dis” service to a kind man, and ( I think we can agree) a prospect with balanced talents to captain us through any cyclone. So, we pissed away our best chance and easily most entertaining debaters. We wished we’d of just forgave. Haloed him weather the storm. And moved on. (Stay with me. Almost done)

    2) the dems LOVED the Lincoln project. Could have cared less you were republicans and would NEVER have cared about the bad press you yourselves seemed compelled to use to chew off your own arms. We just didn’t care. If ysll thought we cared, you need a different research staff because frankly, we didn’t hold you to any other standard other than a welcome break from Trump news hope. We like hope. But y’all were dying quick enough so you made see mainstream media got any data they needed to chew off your legs. Now we’re firm to the black knight in the holy grail and we still wanted the add for that hope. We figured you’d fire a few people. Give us an Alfred E Newman segue into Lincoln 2.0 “we never liked cherries anyway, we’re growing an apple tree.” Then just continued on. We like hope.

    3) with all the lies, grift, deception, and outright danger to our nation, we’d of let you rebrand or reorganize. We didn’t give a shit about the money. You could fix that. We cared about the content. You could start again tomorrow snd we’d literally ALL be onboard for another round. We were/are desensitized to corporate infighting and lining ones pockets if you just say WE FIXED IT

    4) one good commercial. That’s it and your back to prime, skip all the middle shit and [late] but between the shoulder blades shit. Just ONE good commercial and your Pixar for politics in our eyes.

SO FIX IT. LIE ABOUT IT. MAKE IT UP FROM SCRATCH. HELL, BLAME ALIENS. Blame agent orange. Or don’t blame anyone or say anything but “we’re back, and we’re better.” It’s all good.

  5. Unlike most Dem groups that would have folded within minutes LP held on and is better than ever. Thankfully they are still going after Trumpism as Dems don't have the stones to go after bullies and LP does. A bully will continue to bully you until you stop them.
