if you had kept popping landing flaps in that vertical turn fight you would of easily kept up with the mig 21 especially at even lower speeds thats why wing slats are to give US fighters an edge over mig 21s in low speed combat
I mean even the F4E can take on mig 21s in a turn fight(with out sparrows) just gotta abuse flaps like phly did in the video going vertical just imagine if they gave F4E agile eagle back lol
Why doesn't the F-5 have flares?
They really gave China this, and gave usa a raw half baked crusader, the f5 is the last gunfighter, the f8 is the last second decision

Ply use the f5 in a rate fight don’t go vertical that plane isn’t powerful enough for that but in a rate fight or AOA fight you can beat almost anything

15 Gs?? You pull that many in an F-5 and that plane is going in for airframe repairs, in fact, an overstress of 7.5 Gs would land it in the hangar for an inspection. Also, F-5s don't mount rotary cannons, they have two, single barrel 20mm cannon in the nose.
