Lab-Grown Real Meat is Finally Here

Lab-Grown Real Meat is Finally Here

Companies around the world are beginning to commercialize “cultured” meat products, developed by growing animal cells in a lab rather than killing living creatures.

  1. I just called a Vons store and asked them if they had Prince Albert in a can. They said yes. Then I said then you better let him out before he smothercates. they then said they were calling the cops on me, so I hung up. Then I called Smith's and said the same thing. They said I better quit calling or they would call the FBI. They kept hollering at me and told me to get the F off the phone. Now I'm gonna try an Albertsons, and see what they say.

  2. I heard that animals are mostly fed byproducts of the food we produce for ourselves, the inedible parts, and then turn that plant waste into meat for us. I always wonder how honest the promoters of non-animals based protein are being.

  3. I support the “no harm anyone” but I still think that meat is eventually not necessary. We get all we need from plants. Any product that imitates meat (beyond meat, cultured meat etc.) may though be a stepping stone to help change our unhealthy habits we developed after WWII.

  4. 'The British Medical Journal (September 4, 2019) reviewed dietary data on 48,000 people over 18 years. The results indicated that vegans had a 20% higher rate of strokes.
Red meat is rich in iron from hemoglobin, which is better absorbed by the body as opposed to iron found in beans or leafy greens.'

if Bill Gates endorses this cell meat, why is he buying so much farmland?
what are the "nutrients" in the lab broth the cells are grown in.
    frankenscience…. nope..

  5. I would like to know the long-term impacts of eating lab-grown, chemical-infused food. Since the food is totally lab-grown, it must be filled with higher quantity of chemicals per unit mass, which might have severe long-term effects with mass consumption.

  6. And about 100+ years ago people (corporations) were praising seed oils and margarine to the high heavens as a replacement for butter and man’s ancestral use of lard , tallow, and other animal fats. How’d that turn out? Meat and animal foods have THOUSANDS of complex compounds that our DNA has adapted to use besides proteins and fats….you can’t replicate the entire regenerative cycle of an animal grazing on land with this Frankenslop….

  7. We don't know what these mad scientist will put in the food. If it's not 100% transparent from start to finish than it can't be trusted .

  8. My whole issue with this is that I think we should be working to lower meat consumption. I’m not a vegan or vegetarian but I do read about the links in meat consumption and preventable diseases. With offering this “better” meat alternative notice that they are making them into fried food and burgers…they are turning it into popular foods that plague the standard American diet. I want to be on board with this but it seems off.
