Gyms across the country are open for business, but if you want to work out at the gym, the CDC says face masks are a must. Inside Edition sent investigative producer Josh Bernstein to some of the nation’s largest gyms, where face masks are required. At one LA Fitness in Long Island, we observed a man huffing and puffing without a mask as he lifted weights. Everywhere we looked, there were people working out without masks.

I've been paying $23 a month since they opened up last year and only use it a few times because I seen that no one wears their masks while working out. I've never really canceled it and I plan to cancel my membership today after seeing this especially if I don't even use the gym. When I asked what that same question Planet Fitness told me it wasn't a requirement to wear your mask while working out

This is pretty stupid. You need to breathe when you do intensive workouts. They shouldn't enforce it as hard cause t's a gym. I don't judge any of these people either cause I've done it myself and there is nothing wrong with that.

Yo if you’re worried about covid why would you go to a crowded gym where everyone is sharing equipment? Masks in gyms make no sense. It is actually harmful to workout with them on.
The gyms I go to in Long Island everyone's wearing a mask, although sometimes there's a couple of people with their noses out. But that's gotten better recently.
I get no one wants to wear a mask when they're gasping for air. I'm out of shape but I'm strict with keeping it on.
You idiots make me sick. Why would you expect people to wear a mask when they’re performing exercises that require proper breathing? It’s far more important to clean equipment before and after using it than to wear a stupid mask.
