Saudi Arabia proposes ceasefire plan to Yemen’s Houthi rebels

Saudi Arabia has announced a plan to offer its rivals in Yemen’s long-running war a nationwide ceasefire under the auspices of the United Nations, the kingdom’s foreign minister said.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, the kingdom’s foreign minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, said the ceasefire proposed to the Houthi rebels is envisioned “for the entire conflict”, including allowing for a major airport in Yemen’s rebel-held capital, Sanaa, to reopen.

  1. Kingdom idiot, always misscalculated…your army is coward and yellow, you will not able to defeated fighter using sandals and yelling labbaika ya Husain…because die is their aim…

  2. When the Serian went against its ruler ,No body supported them ,but in Yemen , Countries are supporting Yemen houthis, this is called Divide and Rule…this step taken by sourii is good one

  3. Houthis are messing with the security of Saudi Arabia. Attacking some sensitive locations, like oil production facilities, is a direct threat to Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic immunity.

  4. That is why it is important to have a collective saying about the Iranian-backed Houthis and its aggressive actions towards Saudi Arabia and the international supply of oil.

  5. Peace is the answer!

Houthis aim for power is a shameful act.

Killing and stealing the money that the Yemeni people should use; is shameful too.

Attacking civilians and oil facilities in Saudi Arabia is shameful too!

  6. If it's the other way around the Saudis would reject a ceasefire proposal and kept fight on and bombing civilians. Imagine SA launched a sneak attack after they themselves proposed a ceasefire deal that would be a dirty move.
