How strong are bullets? We are going to use our 150 ton Hydraulic Press and 150 ton force sensor to find out. In this viral video we are going to crush .22, 9 mm, 10 mm .222 remington, 7.62 mm / ak47 bullet, .308 rifle bullet and .338 Lapua Magnum sniper rifle bullets.
All things that are crushed in this video are just bullets. Not any actual ammunition or guns are involved on the video in any way of form. Don’t try this at home, crushing metal objects can be dangerous.

Do not try this at home!! or at any where else!!

My sister and her family have also started a Youtube channel! It's about Finnish nature and family things so if you are into those please check her channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXXBQnXaL1WC45Sp5hN1WWw
it was oddly very satisfying to watch the copper split away and show the silver finish on the bullet
The narrowed end is called "boat tailing " done for wind drag and stability. I actually shoot slugs like that out of my airguns
That was fun!!
"they are tough like playdoe" I'm dying xD
Please buy a polarizer or UV filter for your nice lens. They are really only to protect the lens from damage and scratches. Much easier to replace a $10 filter than repair or replace your lens when something explodes.
Examples of bullets performing as designed, expand on impact and make a bigger hole in something or someone.
Interesting
If you want make this test more intersting, you should try to get ammo with hard core, like the 7N1 russian ammo for SVD with hard metal inside the bullet.
They’re mostly lead and copper so not very after all they’re made to deform in a target
Not at all surprised that they didn't take much force, they are designed to mushroom out when they hit a soft target to do more damage.
Me casually using the old way
Calculating how much force is the bullet sent by to travel faster than the speed of sound
Lol the 22lr almost crushed itself under its own weight..
As a sniper, this was cool. Makes some sense on how certain rounds work. But, flesh and steel have different effects. The terminal ballistics. Thats what kills. All we have to call is internal, and external. Internal is combustion of primer and powder. External is afterward of the muzzle with wind velocity, distance, direction with corieolus effect if the distance is that great, spin drift if you want to call it that, air density and temperature of the round. But seeing the round hit steel, makes up for alot of questions I've had over the years. Especially cars and whatknot.
Lead is just Superman's Play-Doh.
When you did the 7.62 round you said it was a AK round you would be correct but your not bc the 7.62 is the bullet which is the same in the 308.the same bullet is in the 7.62×39 which is the AK round but its also in the 7.62×51 aka 308 and 7.62×54R.
Its interesting to me to see how the shape and composition or hardness of the bullet fairs against the press, if it were a harder metal and a solid dense cube itd be possible to puncture the press but due to the curvature and density theres probably too much resistance before it gets squashed vertically, though the cube would do the same thing. Interesting i wonder how a diamonds resistance of pressure affects the hardness of the press and how far you could imbed it.
Anyone could crush all of these just wearing steel shoes XD
I can’t try it at home as I haven’t got a hydraulic press. I will have a look in the garage and see if there’s one hiding in the corner.
… playdooooooo lol!
You are two sadics
Actually quite elucidating.
"short neck, fat ass giraffe" best thing ive heard in a while.
Aw man, I was hoping you would have some monolithic copper and brass hunting or match bullets, and tool steel (or tungsten carbide) AP bullets. Do another video with these much stronger bullet construction types.
This is my girlfriend.
All the pressure got her very wet.
Please excuse me while I go to deal with it.
Should’ve tried solid copper bullets….
You should try a few armour piercing bullets
God bless you all. 1Corinthians15:1-4=Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, HOW THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES; AND THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES.
Ephesian 1:13=In whom ye also TRUSTED, after that ye heard the word of truth, the GOSPEL of your SALVATION: in whom also after that ye BELIEVED, ye were SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise.
Ephesian 2:8-9=For by GRACE are ye SAVED through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of WORKS, lest any man should boast.
Romans 3:23-26=For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being JUSTIFIED FREELY by his GRACE through the REDEMPTION that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION through FAITH in his BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which BELIEVETH in Jesus. Without blood there is no life and without Jesus BLOOD no eternal life.

Look up Robert Breaker and Revelation Station on youtube.
w/o an optical shield in front of lens you are risking damage for zip reason
Was hoping 4 live rounds
I would like to see pressing of a gun barrel .
Where is. 50 cal?
Is that Sako Nokia bullets?
Largest animal? The Antarctic blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus ssp. Intermedia) is the biggest animal on the planet, weighing up to 400,000 pounds (approximately 33 elephants) and reaching up to 98 feet in length.
I like hearing Mrs. Press laughing. Include her more.
You meant to say tank rounds. We all want to see you crush a tank round.
What's funny is that I have a Sako L46 chambered in 222 rem / Triple Duce and its my Precision center fire rifle. Shoots lights out
Small caliber would've been great to see impacting in slow-mo, in my opinion.
HOWEVER, seeing large caliber rounds getting crushed would be something! 20mm, 37mm, particularly AP. BUT if you could get an actual Tank round, say >70mm, that would be very impressive (and undoubtedly a first)!
