Mozambique unrest: Regional leaders discuss ways of ending violence

Fighting between soldiers and an armed group has been going on since March 24 in Mozambique’s northern Cabo Delgado province after the ISIL- (ISIS) linked group raided Palma town.
Leaders from the Southern African Development Community have been discussing how they will respond to the threat.
The UN says the humanitarian situation there is worsening by the day.

Al Jazeera’s Haru Mutasa reports from Harare in neighbouring Zimbabwe.

  1. It's a pitty that i need to hear updated news from my country in a international channel rather than local tv news. The Mozambican Government is clueless how to deal with this issue. They are only expert on how to steal money from their population.

  2. Sarkar ko vidhrohiyo ke leaders se Baat Karni Chahiye aur desh me shanti isthapit Karni Chahiye inshaaniyat subse upper hai duniya ke Sare desho ko Mozambique Sarkar aur waha ki janta ki madat karni Chahiye vidhrohiy Bhi inshaan hai jaroor is Baat ko samjhenge agar na smjhe to sakt action ki jarurat

  3. Its funny how the Mozambique gvt supports the Polisario militia attacking Moroccans in southern Sahara and now they are victims of the same type of militia. How ironic is that.

  4. This regional blocs are very useless indeed, they are still discussing in their palaces about possibility of mobilizing regional forces when people are butchered on the ground.

  5. no one seems to ask the right questions here, 1; who is the leader of the insurgency and who is selling them arms ?? which bank is keeping their deposits?? who is funding them?? who will benefit from this?? because someone some where is making money out of this

  6. This is all done my the west to exploit the resources of Mozambique.. Yet your stupid medias will speak about the war but not the real cause of the war…

  7. Some of these countries didnt hesitate to send their troops to DRC to help Kabila who had promised them diamond concessions but now that Mozambique has nothing to offer they still deliberating the situation.

  8. Any governer you see him is wearing mask means he is a betreather of his own people, he is following the outside agenda of killing he's own people with vaccines, he is publishing with mask that the lies of Corona virus is true, all these leaders are Satans, they must be changed with good people.
