An Insider Revealed Nissan's Secrets, Then Faced Its Wrath

Nissan Motor Co.’s former top lawyer, who led an internal investigation into alleged financial misconduct by Carlos Ghosn, said he endured retaliation, demotions and even surveillance of his family after questioning the integrity of the probe. Former Global General Counsel Ravinder Passi, speaking for the first time about the fallout from the arrest of Nissan’s celebrated ex-chairman, describes a corporate culture rife with fear, intrigue and reprisals for those who step out of line.

  1. I’ve heard about working in corporate Japan, not like working in corporate US, since US and other countries have labor boards and laws that corporations can’t touch. Japan, on the other hand overwork their own citizens and their corporations operate in a very Mafia manner

  2. Sometimes pride and history that associated with the country – be it company or landmark – cannot be belonging to outsiders; and that unwritten laws are followed by most countries. Money and shareholding cannot deceide and buy everything. And it is right measure to protect – nation's – own interests.

  3. What I don't understand is the Title and the this summarized investigation where you guys say absolutely nothing!

    We want details:
    – Names
    – Positions
    – Who did what
    – How much money
    – Is the Government involved
    – Who of the government is involved
    – Who harassed this family (names)
    And so on

Put all the information in thenout and open!

  4. What I see is much of japan (companies) is too old-minded and didn't want a change. like every system it will become corrupt with time, but japan choose to let the corrupt stay in favor for their old system

  5. nissan does not want to be part of renault. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. ghosn is tasked by french nationalised renault to merge with nissan NOW. today nissan is garbage cars. the documentary editing is a little too flashy and turrets for serious topics.
