Eswatini gripped by more pro-democracy protests

The southern African Kingdom of Eswatini has been gripped by pro-democracy demonstrations in recent months.
But the government of the former Swaziland – the continent’s last absolute monarchy – says there can be no dialogue until the unrest stops.
Al Jazeera’s Natasha Ghoneim has more from the capital, Mbabane.

  1. Disgusting Qatar needs to be investigated. This propaganda network of Qatar needs to investigate slavery in Qatar to be taken seriously. Qatar is one of the few slavery countries left on earth.

  2. Africa… 50 different countries with the exact same failure of governance?… Seems like quite the coincidence… I'm sure Eswatini will magically be different… creating a transparent and functional Democracy IS EASY… what could possibly go wrong? Certainly not military coups… civil war… mass starvation… or arbitrary genocide…

  3. What is happening in Swaziland is very very unacceptable, the king of Swaziland is the world permitted killer because if he decides to kill you he sends his armed forces and no one will be held accountable he even make sure that no action taking place about that evil act.

  4. Ye jabulani wena wahlubuka sive for your stomach so don't tell us of anger with drawal to follow on your footsteps we are suffering you enjoying there your statement is just nuisance babe

  5. 0:09 "after being caught in violent pro-democracy protest, he went into a mobile phone shop"

In other words he was looting and stealing from a cell phone shop when the cops shot him.

  6. Jabulani ngicela utiphatsekahle Makhosetive asisafuni ngumgcilati utati yena nemndleni wakhe..badle bona tsine sikhamuse sibukele bona badla ..musa kudlala ngatsi sithule sikhatsi lesidze sitsi lomuntfu utosicabangela simaswati solo nani kusicabangela unyuse itax yaba letulu .. kudla etitolo kudulile.

  7. the king has Massacred over 100 swazis simple for protesting, he is corrupt and a murderer who doesn't deserve to be any type of leader. The are very clear o their demands they want this Royal Leeches gone and tinkhundla system replaced by a democratic system.

  8. So how these pro democracy supporters threaten and assault ordinary people who don't agree with them is not part of the story? Or how the leaders and supporting news outlets online support it.
