The UK’s failure to do more to stop Covid spreading early in the pandemic was one of the country’s worst public health failures, a report by MPs says.

The government approach – backed by its scientists – was to try to manage the situation and in effect achieve herd immunity by infection, it said.

This led to a delay in introducing the first lockdown, costing thousands of lives, the MPs found.

How did the UK government’s early response to the pandemic go so wrong?

President Joe Biden boasted of his close relationship with Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping on Friday, claiming he has spent more time with him than any other world leader.

“Not a joke … I’ve had hours and hours and hours of meetings and personal conversations with Xi Jinping,” Biden said during a speech at a daycare center in Connecticut. “I’ve spent more time with him, I believe, than any other world leader has.”

Biden pointedly noted that he had spent a lot of time with Xi when he was vice president and also has also spoken with him a lot on the phone since he took office.

“Every time he calls and we talk, now it’s a conversation between an hour and a half and two and a half hours,” Biden said. “Not a joke. My word.”

Hospital Responds: Claims It’s Protocol to Throw Plastic Bags Over Covid Patients

'In certain circumstances, the use of a clear, plastic drape or covering for COVID patients during transport is used to prevent the virus from airborne spread to staff and other patients'

  4. The Texas hospital network that forced a Covid positive young lady to wear a plastic bag not only confirmed the incident happened, but claimed the procedure was routine hospital protocol.

In a statement released by Odessa-based Medical Center Health System CEO and President Russell Tippin, the hospital acknowledged the incident occurred and claimed plastic bags are used on Covid patients to prevent “airborne spread,” despite the fact the young woman is observed wearing a face mask.

  5. This 17 year old young lady went to the emergency room in Odessa, COVID positive, because she couldn’t breath. She was humiliated and dehumanized by the staff. Aside from the warning on the bag not to place this over your head, as it could cause suffocation, this is just wrong. The bag is labeled equipment cover and has your typical warning on it. The girls mother said she complained of not being able to breath well, taking off the mask, and was asked to put it back on. The bag was over her head for roughly 30 minutes and she was instructed to save the bag for future use throughout the hospital.

  6. “Her oxygen was already low, it was at 85%, 86%. When we got there they tested her for Covid. We already knew she was positive, and they still tested her again, and then they said that she needed to be on oxygen. So they put her on oxygen and then they said they were gonna keep her just to make sure she was okay cause she was low on oxygen.”

“Then they came to transport us and then she brought a bag and I’m like, ‘Ok, what’s that for?’ She says, ‘We have to put it over her head.’ And I said, ‘For what?’ She says, ‘Any time we transport them through the halls where there’s other patients we have to put it over their head.’ I’m like, ‘Ok.’”

“So she had the mask on already and the bag. She kept saying she couldn’t breathe, so she took off the mask, and they told her she had to put the mask back on. So she put the mask back on and then they took us to the room, but on the way to the room she had to wear the bag. When she got in the room she could take off the bag, but she had to keep it so if she had to do any x-rays, CAT scans she had to put the bag back on.”

Also joining Infowars during the interview, Odessa-based Dr. Richard Bartlett commented the hospital’s bag stunt constituted an “abuse of power.”

“We need to hold local hospital administrators accountable and local doctors accountable,” Bartlett declared. “Enough is enough.”

  7. The deputy secretary at the US Treasury has put Americans on notice that the only way to end the plague of empty shelves around the country is for every resident to be vaccinated. The frank warning came off as a threat to many.

Wally Adeyemo, the Biden administration’s second-highest official in the Treasury Department, appeared to publicly blackmail the still-sizable portion of Americans who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 during a Thursday ABC interview, seemingly blaming them for the ongoing shortages of consumer goods that have led many to mock the president as ‘Empty Shelves Joe’.

Despite viral photos depicting thousands of cargo ships lined up at the Port of Los Angeles ready to unload their goods, Adeyemo claimed that the supply chain issues plaguing so many US retailers are an international issue and will only let up when a sufficient percentage of the country has been vaccinated.

Describing the disastrous economic conditions as “an economy that’s in transition,” Adeyemo acknowledged that “we are seeing high prices for some of the things that people have to buy.” While he praised the administration’s stimulus payments, he also pinned the blame squarely on the unvaccinated.

The reality is that the only way we’re going to get to a place where we work through this transition is if everyone in America and everyone around the world gets vaccinated.

While the ABC reporter repeatedly suggested that the country’s shortages of toilet paper and other panic-buy items could be traced to international supply chain disruptions, a growing number of Americans are demanding answers regarding the weirdly specific nature of certain products missing from store shelves. Some have even voiced doubt concerning whether the shortages are being introduced deliberately, either to gin up hatred against the unvaccinated or keep Americans economically off-balance as they grow accustomed to the wild disruptions of the pandemic.

Adeyemo did the Biden cabinet no favors by adding fuel to the conspiratorial fire, explaining the primary reason Biden continued to push for everyone to be vaccinated was that only then could the White House “provide the resources the American people need to make it to the other side” of the supply chain problem.

Despite blaming the international shipping industry for empty shelves in the US, the media establishment has acknowledged that the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach – which together process 40% of the nation’s imports – had their busiest years on record last year, giving the lie to the notion that the products missing from American shelves simply don’t exist. However, many truckers working for shipping companies have balked at the idea of mandatory vaccination, leaving their firms’ fleets woefully understaffed, and others have gone on strike to demand better working conditions.

The Biden administration has attempted to address the supply chain problem by calling for the Port of Los Angeles to run 24 hours, but while he praised his own promised move as a “game changer,” the executive director of the port has made it clear that there is no timetable in place for the promised schedule shift.

Meanwhile, Biden’s cabinet has come across as woefully out of touch – White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, for example, pooh-poohed the issue of empty shelves as a “high class” problem earlier this week, eliciting criticism from both Left and Right. And Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has been quietly vacationing on paternity leave since mid-August, leaving the country without even a semblance of logistical oversight as the cargo clog shows no signs of dissipating.

Labor shortages are being felt far beyond the US, though often for similar reasons. In Italy, thousands of protesters turned out to block cargo ships from unloading their bounty earlier this week.

The demonstrators were outraged over the country’s adoption of a mandatory vax-to-work policy similar to that threatened by the Biden administration. And the UK government has begged lorry drivers to return to work, even luring foreign drivers in with temporary visas as the country frets over its own empty shelves issues.

Australian ‘truckies’ have united with other unions to exert pressure on the government, which has kept cities like Melbourne under lockdown for months despite vanishingly few reported cases of Covid-19.

The government was already floating policies like ‘no jab, no job’ over a year ago and has led the way in leveraging the pandemic to turn Five Eyes ‘democracies’ into police states.

  8. The US military is offering “condolence payments” to a family in Afghanistan after a badly planned drone strike killed 10 civilians, including seven children, in the country’s capital in August, though did not provide any numbers.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby revealed the offer on Friday, stating that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin made a “commitment” to the Akhmadi family for compensation following the August 29 drone strike, “including offering ex gratia condolence payments” and State Department assistance in relocating family members to the United States.

The offer was raised during a virtual meeting between Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl and Dr. Steven Kwon, who employed one of the Akhmadis killed in the strike at his US-based aid organization, Nutrition & Education International, long active in Afghanistan.

“Kahl noted that the strike was a tragic mistake and that Mr. Zemari Akhmadi and others who were killed were innocent victims who bore no blame and were not affiliated with ISIS-K or threats to US forces,” Kirby went on.

  9. What I don't get is that the BBC is still reporting daily cases as if that number has any relevance in a society where 85%+ of people are vaccinated. Why aren't they reporting the number of cases for the Flu or for Meningitis? We are vaccinated against those aswell. Completely moronic journalism. Tax payers money may aswell just be dumped in a hole and covered in horse shit because thats essentially what the BBC spraffs out everyday. Useless figures, shitty narratives and illogical views.

  10. From Italy
The decisive and tragic element that allows us to assess the severity and effects of a pandemic phenomenon is undoubtedly the number of deaths that the event causes. However, it does not seem that our health bodies and the Statistics Institute have very clear ideas about this.

    1) From one of the reports published by the National Institute of Health:
"COVID-19: interim report on the definition, certification and classification of causes of death Update of the ISS COVID-19 Report no. 49/2020 Version of April 26, 2021 3.
    2. Definition of death from Covid-19
Absence of a clear cause of death other than COVID-19 or in any case not attributable to SARS-CoV-2 infection (eg trauma). For the purposes of evaluating this criterion, PRE-EXISTING PATHOLOGIES THAT MAY HAVE FAVORED OR PREPARED TO A NEGATIVE COURSE OF THE INFECTION ARE NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AMONG THE CAUSES OF DEATH OTHER THAN COVID-19. "

    This means that, according to the Institute, diseases such as cancer, stroke or other serious cardiovascular dysfunctions should not be considered causes of death for statistical purposes if the deceased patients have tested positive for Covid, since such pathologies "may" have favored the negative course of the infection. So, thanks to an absurd mental contortion, the main disease, which in all probability caused the death, becomes instead the secondary one by magic. Regardless of the obvious logical inconsistency of this criterion, it can be observed that, according to the same scientists, the current PCR swabs, due to the exaggerated amplification of the cycles, can show a high percentage of false positives, with the necessary consequence that even the positivity of the deceased patient, which should form the basis of the death criterion for Covid regardless of any other pathology, must be considered anything but certain. Moreover, it should be considered that the Institute, presumably in order to avoid criminal responsibility for false ideology (to say the least), has always moved cautiously in defining deaths, to the point that in all the reports published during the " pandemic ", it is never explicitly stated that the cause of death is due to Covid, or at least that Covid contributed together with other pathologies to the patient's death, but that there have been exclusively cases of deaths "with" Covid;

    2) ISTAT, in turn, has no clear ideas about it, when, in relation to the total deaths from any cause relating to the year 2020, states that:

"It is possible to hypothesize that part of the deaths are due to Covid-19, BUT IT IS ALSO CONCRETE THE HYPOTHESIS THAT A PART OF THE DEATH WAS CAUSED BY OTHER KILLING PATHOLOGIES THAT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO TREAT IN THE TIMES AND IN THE WAYS REQUIRED, to due to a national health system in full emergency ".

So, despite the climate of terror established by governments in the last two years and the destruction of the economic and social fabric of this country through lockdowns and the now infamous “green pass”, no one is able to say with certainty how many deaths the virus has caused. and still cause
