Tesla opens first European Gigafactory: A resurgence of foreign investments into Germany?

After two years of construction, Tesla’s first European factory delivers its first cars today. The Berlin-Brandenburg Gigafactory could soon be building half a million cars per year. Tesla is also building a battery factory nearby. Berlin is Tesla’s fourth car factory. Its first plant in California went into operation in 2010. That was followed by a battery factory in the Nevada desert. Then came its Shanghai plant in 2019. Now the new Berlin-Brandenburg factory, which Tesla had initially hoped to open last year. Up next: a new gigafactory near Austin, Texas, to be completed soon. As for Germany, the largest economy within the European Union has recently been attracting more foreign investors again. Tesla is just one example.

  1. Car oriented society is a part of the problem, not a solution. 1km Asphalt is much dirtier than the production and operation of a car. the car moves a society in a low population density where efficient public transport is not possible and energy losses are high. massive car production is a plague from the 20th century.

  2. Bs , all those cars will be sold only in Europe.
That means once again , European money, is taken .
Look what china does, they barely let foreign companies take Chinese money, all foreign companies there, are helping china to make more money by selling them out of china.

  3. Cryptocurrency< is now on the rise. Believe that the inflation is already priced in crypto market since the end of last year. These manipulative rats are always 2 steps ahead of everybody because they are market makers. I hope I’m wrong and they won’t keep dumping it on retail investors as always. Those who hold the longest will profit the most, I trade and hold profits keep up the great work! and also Joseph Michael Karl has been doing a great job reviewing all chart, trade and techniques on BTC which has enhance the growth of my portfolio to 11 BTC lately. I'm now investing in Real Estate now.

  4. “This was a forest two years ago.”
WRONG. It was a monoculture tree farm. All the trees there had been planted with the express purpose of being harvested later on, just like any crop on any farm. Is a corn field a “forest”?

  5. Warning. This is supposed to look like real information about Tesla. But it has a deliberate hinge when it comes to Giga Berlin, where Tesla have built a water cleaning renewable system, so that Tesla only uses 1% of the water supply than the closeby coal mine, which no one ever have protested against. Really impressive. Only about 5-10 union leaders and paid BMW workers have made protests against Tesla, but thats not what the video says. All protest are dismissed for being political. Just like this add. Wonder who is paying for this channel?

  6. That's the way. I'm not talking about electrical, I'm talking about stop relying on autocracies/dictatorships. I think that the so called 'free world' should have a democracy threshold to invest in any country. It would be hard, but at least you're not hostage.

  7. yeah right, they are destroying my country to get the lithium needed for these overpriced luxury vehicles. f you all, musk even twitted that he was willing to overthrow our governments to get his precious materials

  8. Germany generates hydro from coal fired plants. , despite its plans to reach net-zero emissions by midcentury. In 2020, the government enacted a law that makes 2038 the final year for coal use. Now there are plans to reach that goal by 2030. NOT A GREEN CAR!

  9. Elon Musk complaining about others behind schedule? Really? Cybertruck anyone. People put down their deposits years ago and were promised their Cybertrucks by 2020.
