Remind of the convini (convinience stores) in Japan, that are opened 24/7; or the small groceries owned by Arabs in Paris, that are opened late at night for people who finish their work late
The answer is simple: People in Berlin are to dumb to realize that all bigger grocery stores are open on a 24×7 base nowadays.
