An earthquake in eastern Afghanistan has killed at least 255 people overnight, state-run news agency Bakhtar reported. The 6.1 magnitude quake struck Paktika province near the border with Pakistan. A local official posted on social media that 90 houses were destroyed and dozens of people are feared trapped beneath the rubble.
