The word PC means portion control. When portion control and diet gets together they get the perfect combo. In PC- diet we have take all the portions with a specific amount. The word portions means to have all the food group. Food groups include carbohydrates, protein, dairy, fruits and vegetables, fats and sugar. Portions typically means choosing a healthy amount of certain food with all the vitamins and minerals. It also promotes over eating. All the quantity of food groups in PC diet makes it easy to digest food and easy digestion means to reach or maintain healthy weight.

The serving size and portion size are two different terminologies. Serving size means the amount of food that can be eaten in a day not in a meal. The portion size tells how much do we need to eat in a meal. The serving size that is written on the packets are NOT recommended serving sizes.

Carbohydrates:
Carbohydrates are usually known as carbs. Carbs are the groups of food that provides sudden energy to the body. There are 3 types of carbs.
1.Starches which are found in vegetables, beans, pasta, breads and potatoes.
2. Sugars which are found naturally and artificially. Natural sugar are found in fruits and milk. Artificial sugars can be found as brown sugar, honey and granulated sugar.

3. Fibers which are found in beans, fruits, whole grains and nuts.

Protein:
Protein is a very essential part of the diet as all of the organs, nails, hairs and muscles are built from protein. Protein also helps us to balance our hormones and boost our immune system. High protein foods are lean meat, fish, eggs, nuts and dairy.

Fats:
There are thousands of myths that support fats are not good for your body or for health but it is wrong fats are very essential part of our diet, we can not live without fats. But remember to much of anything is harmful to your body. We can use natural fats like vegetable oil and we can use oils that came from nuts, seeds and fish also.

PC-Diet 13

Dairy:
We should take dairy everyday as they provide vitamins and minerals like calcium. Calcium is very important for bones, teeth and many other parts of the body. Apart from this they also provided natural fats and other essential oils.

PC-Diet 14

Fruits and vegetables:
Fruits and vegetables are one of the best portion of food. They are light and healthy and don’t contain many calories. Vegetables contain fibers and fibers help the body to digest easily.
